About United Nations

The United Nations stands as a global sentinel for cooperation, championing diplomacy over conflict and unity over division. Committed to fostering peace, development, and human rights, it transcends borders to address the world's most pressing challenges, epitomizing the collective aspirations of humanity toward a harmonious and just world.

Your role

Organization setting and reporting:

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) serves as the guardian of global aviation standards, spanning safety, air navigation, security, and environmental protection. Operating as a knowledge-driven entity, ICAO's Revenue and Product Management Section, nestled within the Bureau of Administration and Services, strategically orchestrates revenue streams. Through the sale of publications, databases, training, and events, this section propels ICAO's mission, ensuring funds generated bolster the implementation of strategic objectives and essential program support.

The Product Management Unit (PTM) at ICAO is a dynamic force, orchestrating revenue-generating strategies and spearheading marketing campaigns for flagship events like Air Navigation World and the TRIP Symposium in the latter half of 2023. Guided by the Head of PTM, the intern is poised to elevate UnitingAviation, ICAO TV, and the ICAO Store through collaborative efforts across various units, ensuring a synchronized approach to meet ambitious revenue targets.

The intern will work closely with the rest of the Unit to:

  • Assist in the development of creative and engaging landing pages to generate leads for ICAO’s products and events;
  • Assist in the execution of email campaigns to promote and generate leads for ICAO’s products and events;
  • Develop social media (organic and paid) and SEM campaigns to promote ICAO’s blog content and generate leads;
  • Research the aviation industry and international aviation organizations to find appropriate leads for driving attendance and sponsorship/exhibitions at ICAO events, as well as generate leads for ICAO’s products;
  • Utilize digital tools to develop profiles on social media influencers, journalists, and bloggers;
  • Coordinate written content creation for Uniting Aviation;
  • Contribute to the development of the CRM system by importing potential leads into the platform;
  • Assist in developing marketing automation campaigns as required, for event and product awareness;
  • Assist in reporting of web and advertising analytics;
  • Ability to research, brainstorm, and conceptualize design ideas;
  • Work collaboratively with the team to make design developments;
  • Understanding of print production and web-optimized assets;
  • Perform other related duties.
