Trimble is an industrial technology company, concentrated on helping the world work, better. Their technology enables jobs to get done more precisely and accurately so you can build, construct, grow, and move the things they need to live lives and build future communities.
CTCT (a joint venture between Trimble and Caterpillar) creates world-leading grade control and automation products for customers in the paving, construction, landfill, and mining industries. The products make operators of heavy equipment more productive, whether they’re working on a landscaping job in someone’s backyard, levelling a section for a house, building a subdivision or highway, or operating an 800-tonne excavator on a mine site.
Central to their success is accurate positioning. They utilise the latest in technology from their in-house developed positioning technologies utilising IMU, GNSS, Laser, Optical and Sonic sensors, and some tech they can’t even talk about yet, to empower machine operators with clear and accurate guidance. In many cases, they automate functions of the machine, so the operator can concentrate on other tasks.
