Cultural & Linguistic Diversity at PwC Australia
We foster an inclusive culture which embraces differences – one that allows us to live our values every day, be ourselves and to feel empowered to realise and discover our potential. We know that when people from different backgrounds and points of view work together they create the greatest value – for our business, our clients and society.
We’re proud of our seven employee-led diversity networks that promote Indigenous, cultural, disability, LGBTI and gender equality. We ensure everyone can be supported and lend an active voice in being part of a collective change. These networks support our people to feel safe, included and create a sense of belonging.
Ability Network: we focus on ability, not disability
Ability focuses on disability, chronic illness, accessibility, neurodivergence and women’s gynecological health. People with lived experience, parents, carers and people interested in an inclusive workplace can go to Ability for advice, information and support.
BeWell Network: conversations on health and wellbeing
A place where our people can drive activities, connection and initiatives that bring to life the BeWell, Work Well message - including Green Light to Talk - to drive open and honest conversations about health and wellbeing to support our people to be at their best.
Cultural Connections Network: valuing cultural diversity
An avenue for advice and support, in addition to celebrating cultural differences and increasing levels of awareness across the firm. People from all cultures are encouraged to join.
Families Network: supporting families and carers
A network for all employees who currently balance career and care and those looking to start a family in the future. We welcome everyone to join, to celebrate the joys of family and to feel empowered to be their best self at home and at work.
Reconciliation Network: providing a voice to First Nations peoples
Engaging staff and deepening relationships with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community through activities such as volunteering, building cultural awareness or capacity building engagements.
Shine Network: our LGBTIQ+ community and allies
Shine strengthens our presence in the LGBTIQ+ community, increases awareness among our people and offers information, support and networking opportunities. Allies are most welcome.
Symmetry Network: progressing gender equality
Facilitating the development of both men and women through opportunities that connect, inspire and empower. Everyone is strongly encouraged to join.
