Your role

As part of the Worley Graduate Community and under close supervision and mentorship within the structural engineering department, you will experience the delivery of engineering services to Worley and its customers.

This position offers you excellent opportunities to learn and grow through hands-on project experience with a team of seasoned engineers and technical experts.  You will have the unique opportunity to be involved in the whole cycle of offshore brownfield projects from planning/conceptual design to detailed design, construction, and operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the delivery of structural engineering services that meet Worley', its customers and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
  • Assist in performing structural engineering services such as:
  • contribute to appropriate studies, analyses and recommend actions
  • review existing reports/available data; and
  • assist with the preparation of detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations and reports.
  • Communicate effectively with the structural engineering team and project stakeholders.

Training & development

Throughout the internship at Worley, interns will gain valuable experience in delivering structural engineering services, including contributing to studies, analyses, and design preparations. You'll develop essential communication skills by effectively collaborating with the structural engineering team and project stakeholders, enhancing their ability to convey technical information and collaborate in a professional setting.

About you

What you will bring

Technical and Industry Experience: 

  • Some knowledge of technical and practical structural engineering skills.
  • Some knowledge of the fundamental requirements of structural engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
  • Developing skills in structural engineering-specific software.
  • Competent in the use of relevant software such as MS Office.

Required:

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or ability to obtain by December 2024.

Preferred:

Undertaking a recognized, relevant engineering degree or equivalent that will lead to registration as a professional Engineer.
