About Woolworths Group

Woolworths Group is a food and everyday needs retailer united by the shared purpose of creating better experiences together for a better tomorrow. With more than 1,400 stores across its Woolworths Supermarkets, Countdown Supermarkets (New Zealand) and BIG W brands, and fast-growing eCommerce businesses, Woolworths Group is Australia and New Zealand’s largest retailer. A top 10 company on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), Woolworths Group employs more than 180,000 team members and serves more than 20 million customers a week.

Your role

Technology is changing the face of retail every day. Woolworths Group is looking for those who are ready for this challenge - individuals who can think outside the box and are passionate about technology. If you want to help influence the world they live in through technology, then this role is for you.

Within a business with such a great scale, their team members can really make a huge impact in their roles. When you join Woolworths Group Technology, you’re joining one of the largest technology teams in Australia. Join them as a graduate to gain hands-on experience and make a real difference in their stores, supply chain operations, and support offices.

In 2018, Woolworths launched their Technology Career Framework, allowing the Team Members to take charge of their careers using resources such as Career Maps, Success Profiles, Job Profiles, a Self-Reflection Tool that is based on the skills framework for the information age (SFIA) competencies,  and Personal Development Plan offerings - all unique to Technology!

You will work on technology that:

  • Is experienced by customers on over 29 million visits in-store and online each week
  • Makes their 200,000+ team members more productive every day
  • Automates the stores, online delivery, and warehouses with technology
  • Leverage analytics to drive insights into everything they do
  • Continues to push the boundaries with innovative technology being used to solve real-world problems
