Internship program overview
The Whitney’s Academic Year Internship program offers a semester-long paid internship for undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled in an accredited academic program. The internship is hybrid, with some onsite work. For Fall 2024, interns commit between 16–21 hours per week over 10–12 weeks for a total of 200 hours. Interns are assigned to a specific department at the Museum for the duration of the internship.
The Whitney seeks an Education Spanish Initiatives intern for the Fall 2024 semester.
The intern will have the opportunity to work closely with the Education Associate Manager and the Chair of Education, contributing to various projects that promote learning and engagement within the Museum.
Expected Projects & Assignments
Through the internship, interns will develop proficiency in various areas including translation, editing, and proofreading for exhibition openings. You will collaborate closely with the Education Department, assisting in educational programs, and conducting research projects contributing to educational resource development. You will enhance administrative skills by proposing efficient workflows, maintaining records, and supporting general duties, fostering organizational and multitasking abilities.
Interns will be paid a stipend of $3000.
