Your Role

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking talent to join the Strategy, Digital, and Innovation (SDI) organization for the 2025 Strategy Summer Internship Program.

Program Overview:   

Corporate Strategy works across the company’s lines of business and enterprise functions to set a strategic direction for Wells Fargo and a set of prioritized initiatives to deliver an integrated regional bank at scale to individuals, small and medium-sized companies, large companies, and institutions they serve. 

Over the course of 10-week internship, you can expect to gain experience in: 

• Supporting strategic priorities and projects across Wells Fargo’s businesses. 
• Evaluating strategic possibilities, developing innovative recommendations, and managing matrixed projects, in support of complex business needs.   
• Contributing strategic consulting services to internal clients, leveraging product, project, industry, and business expertise. 
• Conducting competitive and industry research, coupled with financial analysis to understand Wells Fargo’s relative market position. 
• Identifying, gathering, and analyzing data to drive insights that inform a strategic recommendation. 
• Developing compelling presentations and business cases through effective storytelling 
• Expanding both skillsets via structured learning opportunities and on-the-job training and development. 
• Building a diverse understanding of how the company works, including how strategic projects and investments are prioritized. 

About You

Required Qualifications:  

• 6+ months of work experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education. 

Desired Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree candidate with an expected graduation date of December 2025 – June 2026. 
• Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability. 
• Experience using Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). 
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. 
• Knowledge and understanding of financial products and services. 

Internship Duration:  

• 10 Weeks; June – August 2025

Training & Development

Some of the learning and development opportunities offered to interns include training and orientation, networking events, mentorship and buddy systems, performance feedback and evaluations, and exposure to senior leadership.

Career Progress

Following the Corporate Strategy Internship, successful candidates will have the opportunity to join the team as full-time analysts within SDI’s Strategy Rotational Program (SRP), where they will have an opportunity to continue learning and building relationships while completing rotations within their strategy teams. 

The Strategy Rotational Program is an early-career, rotational program, focused on developing Wells Fargo’s strategy talent foundation. Participants complete rotations on individual business strategy teams and make meaningful contributions in setting the strategic direction of the company. The program provides individualized career pathing guidance, customized learning & development opportunities, and unique on-the-job experiences.

Potential career path after completion of the program could include:

• Advancement to a Lead Strategy Consultant and alignment full-time to an individual business strategy team
• Advancement to a non-strategy role within the broader Strategy, Digital & Innovation (SDI) organization or a Wells Fargo functional group
