Your role

What you will do:

  • The Safety Intern will work closely with the Safety Manager and P&C Manager to execute strategic and day-to-day deliverables.
  • The internship program will allow you to express your creativity by engaging in a wide variety of workplace safety projects. 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and roll out an annual safety training program for employees. 
  • Support organization with tracking of safety issues. 
  • Complete safety audits and risk assessments.
  • Enter training records as necessary. 
  • Provide safety-related training. 
  • Develop safety standard operating procedures. 
  • Lead safety-related improvement projects to support the organization.

About you

  • A Sophomore or greater pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree related to Human Resources, Safety, Business, or other related fields. 
  • Highly motivated and possess strong interpersonal skills. 
  • You should be able to support the company at all levels of the organization, apply your knowledge on the job, and effectively communicate your knowledge to individuals within the organization. 
  • You should be located in the Harrisburg/Middletown area and be able to commute to work in person throughout your internship. 
  • Spring interns may work up to 30 hours per week and must be enrolled as full-time students for the spring semester.
  • Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75.

Compensation & benefits

The hourly range is set at $16.00 - $46.00.
