Your Role

The Robotic Process Automation Analyst Intern at Volvo Group will gain hands-on experience in Volvo Dealer Inventory Management (DIM) processes, utilizing tools like Python and Excel to automate tasks and enhance supply chain management within the aftermarket. This internship offers a valuable opportunity for students to apply academic knowledge in a professional setting, collaborate with industry professionals, and contribute to projects for the DIM Analysis team, fostering mutual learning and growth for both the intern and Volvo Group Service Market Logistics (SML).

The internship position is for the Fall of 2024, and the specific work days and hours will be flexible, but agreed upon with the hiring manager.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Improve process efficiency by creating scripts to automate operations across different systems.
  • Support RPA (Robotic Process Automation) eco-system design and control.
  • Stabilize current RPA processes with improved exception handling.
  • Complete training regarding inventory management processes and related systems training.
  • Assist with monitoring and reporting of Key Performance Indicators and continuous process improvements.
  • Prepare and present formal presentations to colleagues and management.

Professional Objectives:

  • Writing Assignments: Brief written summaries of the learning experiences and project updates may be required.
  • Project Presentations: Formal project presentations may be required to be presented to peers, management, and senior leaders within the organization.
  • Performance Feedback: Throughout the entire experience, the manager will provide verbal and written feedback on work performance. At the end of the internship, each intern will be given a formal written evaluation based on their work performance.

Training & Development

About You

Essential Skills & Educational Requirements:

  • Applicant must be currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management or a related field, at an accredited school.
  • Applicants should be interested in pursuing a professional career in Logistics/Supply Chain Management.
  • Applicant must have completed 30 semester hours prior to the start of the internship and have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75.
  • Applicant should be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience and proficiency in RPA software (UiPath and MS Power Automate in particular) and Python programming is strongly preferred.
  • As all documentation is in English, proficiency in the English language is required.
