What you will do:

  • The purpose of this internship is to allow the student/intern to prepare for their future by applying what was learned during coursework (theory, skill development, professionalism) to the working world.
  • Interns will be provided extensive hands-on experience in the field of Production and Quality.
  • The intern will work on important and innovative projects alongside their experienced staff and engineers.

Salary & benefits 

The compensation for the role will range from $16.00 to $46.00 per hour.

About you

Internship education and program requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled and pursuing a Computer Science Degree.
  • Preferred specializations are Digitalization or Data Analytics at an accredited school and have completed 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies prior to the start of the internship. 
  • Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75. 
  • Interns may work up to 30 hours per week during the fall.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Valid US Work authorization.

Competences & experience:

  • Excellent communication skills to work cross-functionally with their customers and production teams to establish a trustworthy network.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of Power BI, and/or other digitalization programs.
  • Skilled with SQL, and other programming languages.
  • Ability to multi-task on several projects.
  • Knowledge of lean methodology concepts and quality tools to coach and grow the competencies of production quality teams.
  • Interest in both heavy-duty powertrain components and assembly processes.
