Your role

What you will be doing

As a Geometrical Architect Co-op, interns will support a cross-functional team to solve packaging and geometry issues between commodities. They will apply packaging and geometrical methods within the Chassis Architecture Team and collaborate with experienced Architects to find balanced solutions. Their role is key in driving issue resolution and ensuring offerings meet end customers' needs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform packaging study of Chassis components using Creo parametric and Creo view
  • Generate packaging study presentation and share in weekly cross functional meeting
  • Document all geometrical and packaging issues & follow-up with design engineers for closure
  • Support packaging meetings and the geometrical work forward in an efficient way
  • Involve in geometry verification plan (virtual builds, physical builds B/C, DMU structure) to improve CAD maturity & quality
  • Perform pre-study packaging analysis, present consequences, and propose the way forward

Who you are

A Mechanical Engineering student prepared to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment, gaining experience in various aspects of engineering (mechanical, electrical, software, design, production, etc.). As a valued member of the engineering team within GTT, the student will have the opportunity to work directly with engineers in the department. GTT values collaboration and lifelong learning, aiming to contribute to the student’s development while providing an opportunity to work in a business environment within the manufacturing industry. The student will report to the Group Manager of Chassis Architecture.

Required

  • Must be enrolled and pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related program at an accredited school and have completed 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies. 
  • Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75.

The salary range for this role is $16.00 - $46.00 per hour.
