Main activities and responsibilities for this role:
Use the knowledge of the workforce and current practices to innovatively introduce and implement new manufacturing processes, products and projects
Perform data analysis and implement quality improvements
Create standard operating procedures
Develop dashboards utilizing tools such as Power BI to improve data visualization
Develop cost effective engineering solutions with flexibility for product and volume changes, including fixturing and tooling development.
Perform benchmarking and utilize best practices locally and globally throughout the engineering organization.
Participating in industrial projects at all phases, including pre-studies, theoretical volume capacity scenarios, following up and monitoring activities, and gaining agreement from relevant stakeholders
Listen to understand the needs of both internal and external customers
Present ideas, problems, and solutions clearly in written and verbal communication
Bring a good attitude and collaborate with a team mindset to creatively solve problems and deescalate any potential conflict
Take initiative to foresee problems and take appropriate actions to minimize the risk of those potential problems
Have a mind-set of continuous, focused improvements while having an overall perspective that embraces promoting a safe and clean working environment
About you
Requirements:
Applicant must be currently enrolled and pursuing an Engineering Degree. Preferred specializations are Industrial, Mechanical and Engineering Design at an accredited school and have completed 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies prior to the start of the internship.
Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75.
Co-ops are not enrolled in academic courses during their co-op rotation and may work up to 40 hours per week

The salary range for this role is $16.00 - $46.00 per hour.
