What is the job?

The E-Mobility Business Unit Intern will support sales growth targets for Mack Trucks’ battery electric vehicle offering and E-solutions product portfolio. For the term of this opportunity, you’ll rotate between the segments to gain knowledge of each area in matter most conducive to gaining maximum experience.

This intern role provides students with the opportunity to apply academic knowledge and skills in a professional environment and to support/promote the graduate's career goals through contact with professionals in their field of study. The intern experience enables students to participate in professional activities for Volvo Group by working on important and innovative projects. The internship allows students to integrate knowledge and skills in a manner that is mutually beneficial to the student and Volvo Group.

For this position it is preferable for candidates to be on site for at least 2 – 3 days per week working up to 30 hours a week. The fall internship dates are August 19, 2024 to December 13th.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and articulate market trends, demand drivers and barriers to entry in the battery electric vehicle segment.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify product gaps and areas of opportunity.
  • Utilize knowledge of public policy and regulations, which impact zero emission vehicles and infrastructure, to investigate funding opportunities.
  • Assist in development of requirements for program and product offerings to ensure value proposition can be realized.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to interpret data to accommodate the evolving business goals within Mack Trucks E-Mobility Business Unit.
  • Provide additional support to the Mack E-Mobility team as needed.

Salary & benefits 

The compensation for the role will range from $16.00 to $46.00 per hour.

About you

They are Looking for the Following Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Applicants must be pursuing a Business Administration and/or Marketing bachelor’s degree at an accredited school and have completed at least their sophomore year.
  • Applicants currently enrolled in graduate programs will be considered as well.
  • Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75. 
  • Highly organized, effective at managing multiple projects at once. 
  • High-energy and result oriented. 
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to interact with colleagues, customers and dealers in a professional manner
  • Efficient with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word & Excel)
