Your role

What you will be doing

As an intern, the candidate will gain real-life experience with project management tools and processes, working up-close with experienced project managers and product design engineers. They will gain an inside view of the accomplishments and challenges of working with a large global design and manufacturing company day-to-day, and will bring new and creative ideas with a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities include:   

  • Review and support engineering design change requests 
  • Quality documentation support 
  • Support and evaluate performance of project health 
  • Help to minimize disturbances in project implementation by steering improvements 
  • Aid in ensuring projects are delivered on time with the agreed quality, cost, and features according to the requested volumes and production capacity 
  • Support with identifying and managing risks with risk mitigation plans 
  • Utilize Microsoft tools to create reports and dashboards 
  • Support the Project Management Office (PMO) in their day-to-day activities

A student prepared to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment, gaining experience and knowledge in various aspects of engineering. As a valued member of the engineering team within GTT, candidates will have the opportunity to work directly with various roles in the organization. GTT values collaboration and lifelong learning, aiming to contribute to the candidate's development while providing an opportunity to work in a business environment within the manufacturing industry. The candidate will report to the Group Manager, Chassis Project Management Office.

Required

  • Must be enrolled and pursuing a degree in Business, Engineering, or Technology at an accredited school and have completed 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies
  • Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75
  • Interns may work up to 30 hours per week during the spring

The salary range for this role is $16.00 - $46.00 per hour.
