Your role

Position description:

They are currently looking for a student to work with their Volvo Action Service/Mack One Call (VAS/MOC) group as a Training Development Intern. You should be prepared to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment; gaining experience and knowledge in various aspects of training material development and delivery of internal processes related to commonly occurring breakdowns and their causes. 

As a valued member of Volvo Action Service/Mack One Call, you will have the opportunity to work directly with the breakdown agents and technical support specialists responsible for providing customer solutions. Their goal is to contribute to your development, as well as providing an opportunity for you to work in a business environment within the automotive manufacturing industry.  This position will report to the Training Manager within Volvo Action Service/Mack One Call.

Position responsibilities:

  • Create Knowledge Articles: Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive Knowledge articles to assist internal teams and clients.
  • Create a method for gathering the Needed “knowledge Request.”
  • Enhance Team Communication: Assist in cleaning up and organizing communication channels within the team to ensure clarity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with various departments to gather information, understand their needs, and provide relevant Knowledge articles.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify areas for improvement in Knowledge management and team communication processes.
  • Support the development of training tutorials to be used by agents working with customers and for inclusion on related service apps connected to the maintainability of their various products. 
  • Investigate and provide recommendations for improved training materials in various formats and media to support EMS Agents.
  • Contribute to a positive working environment.

The compensation for the role will range from $16.00 to $46.00 per hour.

About you

Essential skills & minimum education requirements:

  • Applicant must be currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in a Communications field, ideally with a focus on video and/or social media production, editing, or scripting at an accredited school, and have completed 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies prior to the start of the co-op/internship.  
  • Fall Interns may up to work 30 hours per week. 
  • Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Valid US Work authorization.
