Your role

This is an outstanding opportunity for a recent graduate or individual looking for an entry-level legal role in a dynamic industry. The internship is 12 month fixed-term contract. You will need to be able to work autonomously with a friendly, motivated and proactive attitude. 

Your internship will provide opportunities to:

  • Assist in the renewal of all business licenses
  • Respond to government regulators
  • Prepare and file trademark registrations
  • Review and prepare contracts for supplier and dealer agreements
  • Research and prepare letters on various legal matters
  • Provide advice on consumer law cases
  • Provide general assistance with litigation cases
  • Review and advise on retail marketing collateral

About you

To succeed in this role, candidates will need to possess the following:

  • It is prerequisite for this opportunity that you hold a Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree, or another degree majoring in legal studies, or equivalent from a recognised University. You may also be in your final year of study.
  • A basic understanding of legal advertising and marketing processes
  • Sound negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management
  • Conflict management skills
  • Practical problem solving skills with an operational focus
  • Attention to detail and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Familiarity with the functions of legal organisation, basic legal documents and concepts.
