You’ll be working in a Global Banking Banking (Special Situations Group) business based in London.
Supporting SSG team in all aspects of financing transactions for both institutional and wealth clients.
You’ll learn how to use market data to develop research skills and contribute to the creation of strategic materials for your teams and clients in a dynamic environment.
You’ll get to:
Understand how clients, including (inter alia) corporates, institutions, private equity, and governments, operate businesses and consider strategic objectives
Get to know the markets through IPOs, capital raising, and disposal/sale
Interact with the equities platform to get an insight into the investor community's views and trends
Learn all about debt capital markets including corporate and emerging market bonds
Evaluate companies and develop models for M&A transactions
prepare industry analyses for pitches
Get involved in the execution of live deals
About you
UBS is looking for a candidate who:
Is in the penultimate or final year of their degree, or has recently graduated (no more than 6 months from the internship start date)
Has or is on track for a 2:1 (UK grading system) or the equivalent in your first undergraduate degree

Training & development
This paid internship will last three to six months. You’ll work with experts and learn about the industry, clients, and the firm. You’ll be right at the heart of business, learning from your colleagues, and taking part in day-to-day operations. You'll be given mentors along the way and will have the chance to get to know some of the most senior members of the teams. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and make contacts along the way.
