You’ll be working in the Global Banking global lending unit team in London.
They are responsible for providing coverage, advisory, capital markets, and financing solutions for corporate, financial institutions, and sponsor clients.
The Global Lending Unit is divisionally agnostic, covering clients across Investment Banks and Wealth Management.
You'll therefore get exposure to a broad range of situations and transactions, for example, structured lending or strategic equity solutions (strategic stake builds, disposals, hedging, equity-backed financing).
You’ll get to:
Offer support during each stage of a transaction's life, from origination to execution to ongoing maintenance of bespoke financing solutions and corporate equity derivatives
Develop pitch book presentations to explain the team's offering, discuss client options, and recommend strategies to meet client goals
Prepare industry analyses for pitches

About you
UBS is looking for a candidate who:
Is in their penultimate or final year of your studies
Is on track for a 2.1 (UK grading system) or equivalent in their first undergraduate/bachelor degree

During your 10-week paid internship, you’ll work with the experts and learn about the industry, the clients, and the firm. You’ll be right at the heart of business, learning from your colleagues, and taking part in day-to-day operations. You'll be given mentors along the way and will have the chance to get to know some of the most senior members of teams. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and make contacts along the way along with your line manager and buddy who will work more closely with you day-to-day within your local business area.
