You’ll be working in the Investment Bank’s Global Banking (GB) business, focusing on Debt Capital Markets (DCM).
The focus is on providing clients with the best-in-class advice and financing solutions across the capital structure.
You’ll work closely with the GB country and sector coverage teams, as well as the Global Markets Fixed Income teams.
You’ll get to:
Learn all about debt capital markets but also get broader exposure to UBS’ business to build an expanded knowledge of the investment banking industry
Get to know the global markets from the capital raising stage from origination through to the execution of transactions with exposure to all stages of the transaction life cycle
Compare knowledge of global markets (USD, EUR, AUD, CHF) and provide the best advice to clients on how and when to fund in various currencies
Be involved in and contribute to providing advice and execution directly to clients – focusing on the impact of ever-changing markets, evolving regulations, rating agency frameworks, and market drivers on the clients’ needs
Prepare industry analyses for pitches
About you
UBS is looking for a candidate who:
Is in the penultimate or final year of their degree, or has recently graduated (no more than 6 months from the internship start date)
Has or is on track for a 2:1 (UK grading system) or the equivalent in your first undergraduate degree
Has values that align with their hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated, and collaborative
Is a strategic thinker with strong communication skills
Is motivated to work in a business with high demands and tight deadlines

Training & development
This paid internship will last three to six months. You’ll work with experts and learn about the industry, clients, and the firm. You’ll be right at the heart of business, learning from your colleagues, and taking part in day-to-day operations. You'll be given mentors along the way and will have the chance to get to know some of the most senior members of the teams. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and make contacts along the way.
