Your role

As a Communications & Branding Industrial Placement, your responsibilities include:

  • You’ll be involved in planning, writing and editing articles for internal websites, newsletters, blogs, social media and announcements.
  • You'll give advice and support for the best way to get messages to our employees.
  • You'll help coordinate employee events and develop accompanying communications materials to spread the word.
  • You'll support the coordination of employee volunteering activities and the firm's financial grants to charities and social enterprises.
  • Depending on your interests and skills, you may also have the opportunity to get involved with media relations, where you would manage incoming requests from journalists and work with internal spokespeople to help UBS gain visibility in the media.

Your team

  • You’ll be working within one of the Corporate Communications or Marketing teams and will work closely with colleagues from Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas to help the team build and protect its reputation and make sure information is delivered clearly and consistently.

About you

UBS is looking for a candidate who:

  • Completing the Industrial Placement program as part of your studies and then graduating in 2027. You should also be on track for a 2.1 (UK grading system) or equivalent in your first undergraduate/bachelor's degree.
  • It doesn’t matter what you’re studying. (Really, it doesn’t.) But UBS likes to see evidence that you can:
    • Analyze a problem
    • Take a view and come to a decision
      • Plan
      • Organize and communicate well
      • Make things happen
      • Stick with a task
      • Work in a team
      • Come up with ideas

Benefits

The benefits programs often go above and beyond legal requirements and cover the following:

  • Physical wellbeing
  • Insurance coverage and wellness programs

  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Generous time-off benefits, along with a variety of paid and unpaid leave options

Training & development

This placement will last 12 months. You’ll work with the experts and learn about the industry, the clients and the firm. You’ll be right at the heart of the business, learning from your colleagues, and taking part in day-to-day operations.

Career progression

You’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and make contacts along the way. If you like challenges, enjoy learning, and want to work where no two days are the same, this program is for you.
