My role involves working closely with dealers, supporting them with sales help and knowledge for all ag products, with a focus on precision ag. My role involves quite a bit of travel, as I look after the QLD, NT and Northern NSW region. A key focus for my role is mainstreaming the technology suite that John Deere offers across all our machines, for our customers

As a graduate, it depends on the team we are currently in as to what our day-to-day looks like. Currently, I am working heavily with our US counterparts to enhance existing advertising processes. I meet regularly with both my internal team members and external staff to achieve our project goals. I am responsible for project budget and information management currently - however this responsibility may change when I rotate to a new team

Pros and cons of working at John Deere

Pros

  • John Deere has given me an opportunity to work in a field that encompasses both my passions in Machinery and Agriculture.

  • The graduate program offers a fantastic opportunity to rotate around the various teams within the business, and complete/assist in projects. There is a huge amount of exposure as a result, and we are extremely well supported in rotating to areas that we are interested in.

Cons

    • An improvement would be more time out of office working in field roles.

    • The worst thing about working at my company is the lack of social events in last year due to Covid. It is reduced a lot due to Covid in last 2 years.
