At Jacobs, every day is an opportunity to make the world better, more connected, more sustainable. We’re powered by more than 60,000 people across the globe who deliver innovative scientific, technical, professional and program management solutions for the public and private sector.
We're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.
Ready to make your impact on tomorrow? We’re seeking thinkers and doers, visionaries and change-makers to join our 2025 Graduate Program!
At Jacobs, we push the limits of what’s possible to make the world smarter, more connected and more sustainable. In our transport work, that means designing innovative solutions to move people and goods safely and efficiently across the globe. From rail systems mobilising accessible transit, to ports linking land and sea – when it comes to connecting the people and places of tomorrow, the future of transport depends on us.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Coastal Engineer to join our Brisbane or Sydney Ports & Maritime team in 2025. You’ll be involved in coastal modelling (including wave, hydrodynamic, and sediment transport modelling) to support the design and approval of major engineering infrastructure projects. You'll also assist in the design of coastal management and coastal infrastructure works (e.g. seawalls, breakwaters, groynes) as well as coastal processes and metocean studies. You'll work collaboratively with other members of our Ports & Maritime team and wider Jacobs team across multiple disciplines – and we’ll mentor you each step of the way to ensure you’re set up for success.
Ideally, by January 2025 you'll hold a university degree in Maritime, Coastal, or Civil Engineering (foundation knowledge in coastal engineering/processes is preferred). This is a unique role that requires applicants to hold the right to work in Australia. Bring your curiosity, collaborative spirit and strong communication skills, and we’ll help you grow, pursue and fulfil what drives you – so we can make big impacts on the world, together.
As a Graduate at Jacobs, you’ll be a valued member of our team from Day 1 and work on real projects, bids and tenders from the get-go. From gaining hands-on experience, to participating in networking events and structured learning sessions, you’ll find new and inventive ways to help our clients make the world a better place.
Our teams offer a supportive environment to help you to learn, grow and excel. Working under the guidance and mentorship of our experts and industry leaders, you’ll develop the skills and knowledge to deliver the boldest solutions for the extraordinary and the everyday.
You'll receive structured advancement throughout the grad program, along with salary increases over your first two years. We offer a competitive salary, great employee benefits and income protection. Please note the salaries listed on our job advertisements are base salaries, excluding super.
We see graduates as the future leaders of our business, which is why we’re delighted to have placed #23 in the Australian Financial Review’s Top 100 Graduate Employers award for ‘Most Popular Employer’ in 2024 and featured in the Top 10 for 'Most Popular Engineering Employer' Award! No matter what drives you, you’ll discover how you can cultivate, nurture, and achieve your goals – all at a single global company.
