varies depending on the rotation one rotation i could be leading a team on hitting a set target or project along with a set structure for the 3 months while learning through the process. another rotation im honestly doing nothing but time wasting work because that's all that's offered and the leaders wouldnt have time or put effort into a structure or what should be learnt throughout the rotation. as stated, this program isn't properly structured between the leaders we are delegated to in the program in my opinion. one rotation i could be involved as a leader getting proper teachings and structure within the site or department. Another rotation i was counting pallets outside for 2 hours while assisting with laminating signs to put throughout the site, this went on for 3 weeks. >>>>>>>Free labor.

At DHL Supply Chain, our people mean the world to us. That’s why our goal has always been to attract and retain the world's best talent.

Pros and cons of working at DHL

Pros

  • Exposure to large clients - Lots of lateral opportunity post-grad pathway - Exposure to different roles - Experience in a large corporation

  • There are a lot of opportunities available within DSC, as a graduate you have a lot of different pathways you can explore.

  • I enjoy that as a graduate I can easily reach out to different people in the company for advice or potential opportunities.

  • DHL Supply Chain is probably the best workplace to learn how to run a logistics and supply chain operation. It doesn't matter what department within the company you work in, you will pick up a lot of detailed knowledge around supply chain operations, which in turn sets you up for a long career in the industry.

Cons

    • Salary - Hours are inconsistent - Isolation from other graduates

    • Mixed experiences between grads - no structure towards the start of my program - used as free labour in my opinion throughout 1-2 of my 5 rotations

    • Coffee.

    • Office location can be a bit hard to get to personally.
