Your role

Job Scope (Core Activities) for Application of Optimization Techniques in Aircraft Structures Development:

• Conduct extensive survey and exploration of existing and emerging optimization methods, techniques, and tools for designing and sizing aircraft structural components.
• Perform trade studies to evaluate different optimization methods, considering various objective functions (single and multi-objective).
• Recommend adaptations of identified methods to suit specific project requirements.
• Investigate the application of multi-domain optimization in the development of aircraft structures.
• Prepare comprehensive reports documenting the findings, analysis, and recommendations derived from optimization studies.

About you

Required Domain Expertise:

• Sound knowledge of Linear algebra, Optimization methods, Design of Experiments.
• Sound knowledge of Strength of materials. 
• Hands on experience with programming and exposure to FEM. 
• Very good analytical and reasoning skills 
• Ability to apply numerical methods /mathematical modeling to solve engineering problems. Familiarity with software tools such as MATLAB, Python, iSight, Abaqus, and NASTRAN. 

Qualifications:

• Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering

• Demonstrated ability to work independently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and adaptability
