Our Team – Cybersecurity – Internal Identity 

As a summer intern, you will get a real taste of what your cybersecurity career could be by becoming a part of our team, where you'll work with experienced mentors to design and implement Role Based Access (RBAC). Gain hands-on experience in access control, identity management, and security operations while contributing to critical projects that protect our organisation’s data. 

What we’re looking for: 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to take on challenges and learn from them.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, to ensure business requirements are understood,
  • Eagerness to learn about RBAC and access control mechanisms.

A little more about you 

  • You might be in the middle of studying a relevant tertiary qualification in Information/ Cyber Security, Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Technology or maybe you’re not on a traditional academic path but have impressive skills in cybersecurity.
  • Passionate about technology and emerging trends that have the potential to change the way we work, live, and communicate.
  • Passion and curiosity that is being explored through project work outside of academic studies. Are you currently creating a website, interacting on GitHub or Kaggle, and looking to solve big problems with data? We want to learn more about you!
  • Thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment and enjoy working on ambiguous and fuzzy problems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and resilience.

Step 3: Intern Day 
A day at our office in Auckland where you will have individual kōrero with Air New Zealanders and take part in a group activity, so you can showcase your awesome skills. 

Step 4: Chemistry Chat (if you wish) 
We want to make sure you feel comfortable with your decision, so you’ll have a final kōrero with your potential leader, to learn more about what your day-to-day will be like.
