Your role

The objective of the role:

To support the delivery and development of a top-performing industrial advisory capability within the Advisory Services Discipline of the Buildings & Places End Market, that wins and delivers high-value consultancy projects across a broad range of industries integrating Process Optimisation thinking across all the work that is delivered.

Job duties:

The team is a key part of the Advisory Services and as a member of the team you will:

  • Support delivery of value propositions being guided in the use of Lean and other process optimization capabilities.
  • Support the development of innovative thought leadership that sets AECOM apart from its competitors.
  • Support the maintenance of networks throughout AECOM and its clients.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop exciting offerings that maximize the potential of the wider AECOM team.
  • Ensure you deliver projects and tasks professionally and execute them to quality, cost, and time.

About you

Qualifications

  • You will have a BEng or higher in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering – 2:1 & above.
  • You will have a some understanding of Continuous Improvement methods/processes and the application of Lean principles and Six Sigma to projects across different industries.
  • You will be an approachable professional individual, demonstrating good communication skills.
  • You will be willing to work in a consulting capacity and develop business relationships.
  • You will demonstrate initiative when dealing with complex problems.
  • You will be able to listen, understand, and relate requirements for tasks and services.
  • You will be flexible and willing to work away from the office to meet the client or business demands.

Additional information

Interested candidates must have permanent right to work in the UK as the company is unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.

Training & development

AECOM is currently recruiting for a graduate reporting to a senior consultant willing to learn and develop Industrial process improvement techniques such as Production planning, material movements, process flow, Lean, and Six Sigma whilst supporting the offering. Formal training courses and new tasks, projects, or responsibilities at work offer opportunities to develop new skills or enhance existing ones, but they are not the only ways to learn. Successful learners create opportunities through discussions with managers or work shadowing colleagues. Anything that extends your knowledge or allows you to apply it in practice can contribute to your development.
