Providing Health & Safety Consultancy Services as directed including general and specific H&S and construction advice including:
Providing advice and assistance to clients, designers, and contractors about their duties under the CDM Regulations
Providing advice and challenges to design teams to ensure safety in design is applied throughout the design stage
Carry out workplace inspections & audits
Carrying cut construction site health & safety audits
Reviewing and advising on risk assessment and method statements
Providing advice and assistance to principal contracting organizations
Undertaking the role of principal designer on projects where AECOM is leading design
Undertaking proactive and reactive audits and reviews
Providing a point of contact for client(s) about health and safety matters
Facilitating workshops and training sessions
Ensuring AECOM QA and Health and Safety responsibilities are discharged
Producing comprehensive written reports, notes of meetings, presentations
Leading by example in the application of AECOM’s Safeguarding value and Safety for Life behaviours
About you
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (min 2.2 or equivalent) in a health & safety, construction or design discipline.
NEBOSH General Certificate (desirable)

Ability to demonstrate logical reasoning and analytical thinking
Effective decision-making with strong verbal and written communication
Strong organizational, problem solving and time-management skills
Able to produce auditable outputs with a clear record of error checking and demonstration of validity in results
Ability to assimilate, analyze, and communicate information
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability and confidence to work with a wide range of Clients and Consultants
Able to work effectively within a team environment and meet or exceed client expectations
Adaptable and can modify the approach to work to suit the needs of the client or project
Able to negotiate with and influence third parties
Full UK driving licence
