The Water team in Belfast is looking for civil engineering students to join their team over the summer or for a longer-term industrial placement.
The projects include work on Dams and Reservoirs, water supply systems, and flood risk management projects.

Here’s what you’ll help with:
Design: working closely with your manager and peers in the design phase of projects. This will involve creating and modifying drawings using CAD software, producing calculations, and designing tasks.
Project Management Support: assist in project-related tasks like research, data gathering, and preparing reports.
Field Visits: They will provide site visit opportunities to gain practical experience. This could involve conducting site surveys, and inspections, and shadowing experienced engineers carrying out supervision.
Collaboration & Communication: meetings with clients, contractors, and other professionals to discuss project requirements, progress, and challenges.
About you
Here’s what Aecom is looking for:
Studying toward a BEng in Civil or Civil and Environmental Engineering Degree
Water-related modules would be an advantage
Enthusiastic, hard-working, technically proficient, with ambition and drive.
Basic computer skills are essential (Word/Excel) and good report-writing skills are beneficial.
Demonstrable interest in water engineering
Communicate effectively to internal and external clients, both verbally & in writing.
Structure & prioritize work effectively through close cooperation with the team as a whole.
Ability to work independently without losing initiative & focus.
