The role 

We are seeking an Electrical Engineering student to join us for our paid 12-week Vacation Program during your university break to gain experience at our Birkenhead plant, giving you head-start in your career before graduating

You will work on exciting and challenging projects, applying theoretical knowledge to practical solutions, supported and supervised for the duration of the program. 

Responsibilities 

  • Develop a project plan for your assigned project(s) under the guidance of your Engineering mentor
  • Conduct research on the technical and engineering aspects of the project
  • Safely conduct the field work of the project - Carry out field work
  • Analyse and synthesise data and information collected and formulate make recommendations
  • Prepare relevant engineering drawings including P&IDs
  • Prepare a report for submission to the Engineering and Technical teams

What you will need to succeed 

  • You will be in the penultimate year of Mechanical Engineering degree studies
  • Have achieved at lease a Credit average
  • Previous work experience
  • Current driver’s license
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Collaborative and can-do attitude
  • Enjoy working hands on with large heavy industry equipment
